anti-bullyingTake a stand against bullying and wear any pink item of clothing you can get your hands on!  Today is BC’s Anti-Bullying Day so students, parents, teachers, men, women, boys and girls all over the province are showing their support.  Be a part of this incredible movement!

Spring Break! Get There.

looking_upJKC is offering care for Spring Break from March 16th – 20th.  Early Bird Registration forms will only be available at our centres and only to currently registered members or drop-in members (with paid parent deposit and annual membership fee) on Monday, February 23rd @ 3:00pm.  General Registration forms will be available online and at our centres on Monday, March 9th. 

Spring Break activities are TBA.  Please check our website for updates.  This year’s gonna be extreme excitement so make sure you submit your registrations!

grouseIndulge in 48 hours of winter madness!  Grouse Mountain is kicking off the one year countdown to Vancouver’s 2010 Winter Olympics.  The celebration begins this Friday, February 13th and goes all weekend long! 

This is the time to see the beautiful sun rise over the mountain tops as you carve your way down the mountain.  Bring the fam…don’t miss this opportunity!

Nothing To Do? Take Your Kids Clubbing!

vplThe Vancouver Public Library (VPL) hosts many free events and clubs for all demographics.  Check out the Parent-Child Book Club for kids in intermediate grades.  They’re a great way to spend time with your kids to discuss books and develop and share your love for reading.  And, if you’re interested in japanese paper-folding, try the Origami Club for Kids and Adults for an afternoon of fun every fourth Saturday of the month at the Fraserview Branch.  Look at the VPL Calendar for more details on more club/event offerings as well as locations and dates/times (remember to choose “children” in the audience bar).
