What’s Up Online?

ImageMerlyn Horton, Executive Director of Safe Online Outreach Society (SOLOS) is offering a FREE workshop focused on emerging trends in online youth culture, high risk activities online, and Internet safety tips and resources. This workshop focuses on providing tools for parents, foster parents and youth 13+ on Internet literacy and safety information.

This presentation takes place at the Central Library (Alma VanDusen & Peter Kaye Rooms, Lower Level) on 350 West Georgia Street on Tuesday, March 6th from 7:00-8:30pm. Admission is free and there will be free pizza. Doors open at 6:30pm for refreshments. Register by Friday, February 24th at event@plea.bc.ca.

Presented in partnership with, The Vancouver Public Library, The City of Vancouver, Vancouver School Board, Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and The Vancouver Community Action Team (VCAT).

Have no fear for Winter is near…

Just an inside scoop that WINTER BREAK at JKC will be in effect this year with much enthusiasm, energy and excitement!  We are still in the planning phase but we are definitely geared up for a week of awesomeness!  Please stay tuned for more information and feel free to talk to your child’s Program Coordinator for updates.

Current Member registration begins Monday, November 28th and ends Friday, December 9th.  Be sure to take advantage of this head start as registration will be open to the public on Monday, December 12th!  Prices and schedule are to be announced so look at your JKC parent boards, talk to your JKC Coordinators and read your JKC emails for updates.

Winter Break will be rolling in the snow from Monday, December 19th to Friday, December 23rd (7:30am-6:00pm) at our Bayview location only.  This is the time to get planning!

Howl Time!

Be sure to experience the annual Halloween Howl at Bayview Community School on Friday, October 28th from 6:30pm-8:30pm!  Marvel in the night’s magic and enchantment! Play a trick on or give a treat to your dearest witch, warlock, ghost or ghoul.  Toss a few potions into the witch’s brew, golf with goblins, bowl for pumpkins, create some spooky crafts and much, much more!  This will be a night to remember!  Dare to enter the haunted house…

Spring is near!  Jericho Kids Club is happy to bring you two weeks of fresh and fun-filled activities for your child(ren) during March 21st to 25th and March 28th to April 1st (at our Bayview location only). 

Get ready for a Spring Break that is going to burst with amusements, wonderment, experiments, entertainment, excitement and amazement!  Your child(ren) will meet Janine the Genius, become talented circus performers, journey the mysteries of the deep sea, travel to the big screen for a grand cinema adventure and much, much more!

Make sure to download the Spring Break Registration Form from our website and submit your registration (payment must be included) to out main office at 2251 Collingwood Street, Vancouver, BC, V6R 3L1 as soon as you can as space is filling up!
